Looks like Gundam Seed Astray is getting a little more love in the form of the Robot Damashii ZGMF-X12A+AQM/E-X05 Divine Testament Gundam. From the Gundam Seed Destiny Astray manga, the Testament Gundam with its Divine Striker armaments is a fearsome antagonist mecha that is eventually repurposed for Kaite Madigan’s usage, one of the leads in Destiny Astray manga. In the manga, it also is able to attach other Striker packs such as the Sword and Aile packs designed for the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, so it would be interesting to see if that applied to the Robot Damashii version. As for speculation time, could this be another hint into upcoming roster additions to Gundam Extreme Versus Full Boost? The Divine Testament Gundam is scheduled for release in September of this year.
Its a nice design. Strange that a ZAFT machine would be able to arm a federation’s gundam’s equipment. But then the nations in that series seem to always be stealing machines right off the production floor. Maybe they prepare them in anticipation of the inevitable gundam-jack?
I’ve not read any of the destiny astray mangas, only the seed ones so forgive me if I’m wrong but as far as in-universe designs go this one looks a little… off to me
personally it looks more like a 00 universe gundam, with the considerably thinner legs, more elaborate crest, and angular chest design.
also based on the model number its based on the same line as the freedom, justice, and providence but it doesn’t share any of their design aesthetics.
maybe I’m just over thinking things. It’s a cool idea though, being able to use the striker packs and all.
it uses nuclear reactor like freedom. also, it is the brother unit to Astray Out Frame. so it’s basically an Astray too.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present; The Artist Formally Known as The Artist Formally Known as Prince Gundam.
Or perhaps Ruby Rod Gundam.
But seriously, what the hell is this fancy lad piece of tat? Liberace would tell this thing to take it down a notch.
