Earlier this month, Namco Bandai had several location tests for the newest sequel of the Extreme Versus franchise, Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost. Several details were leaked prior to this during a recent preview of the game at a trade show, but we were still unsure of what to expect from the game. Thankfully, gamers bravely subverted location test security to secretly take videos of the first build of the game. In the video, you can see the Gundam AGE-1 go into it’s EX Overdrive mode to become the Spallow Wear, which looks somewhat similar to Spiegel Gundam in terms of moves so far. Check out the video below and see what you think about the game.

We now have the third promo for Super Robot Wars OG Infinite Battle. This covers the various game modes and shows off the likes of Daisanger, which is a very welcome addition. We’re still not sold on this game, partly because of what it looks like but more down to how the core mechanics seem to be playing out. Once it’s out at the end of this month we’ll be able to appraise it more accurately. You can pre-order the game here.

A nice new indie PC game has been revealed by the name of Reset. Helmed by two former Futuremark employees, Alpo Oksaharju and Mikko Kallinen, (who worked on Shattered Horizon) it features a mecha as it solves puzzles co-operatively with itself across time. It’s nice to have a mecha game that doesn’t shoot things in the face and the puzzling premise sounds fantastic too. There’s a teaser trailer going the rounds as well (shown below) and it’s wonderfully atmospheric, with an almost Silent Running vibe to it. No word on a release date or price as yet but apparently there will be crowdfunding set up for this pretty soon.

Namco Bandai has released two new videos of Shin Gundam Musou gameplay including the Strike Gundam and Big Zam. The first video shows gameplay from the game’s Official Mode, which replicates stories from the titular Gundam series whereas the second video is from the Ultimate Mode that brings the series crossovers, similar to the more recent Gundam Musou games. One niggling aspect of the game are the rather poor character cut-ins when initiating a musou attack. It feels like it adds to the overall drop in visual quality in comparison to Gundam Musou 3. Anyway, check out the two videos below and judge for yourself.
