After a good few years of, well, nothing about the much anticipated MechWarrior reboot (courtesy of Piranha Games) it appears that the game hasn’t died after all. From the somewhat oddly emphatic tweet from Bryan Ekman that there has been “no legal battle” over the usage of the Unseen designs to the slightly cringe-worthy viral twitter feed for the game itself. Either way, we’re just happy the game is still being made and that maybe one day we’ll get to play it.
Mechwarrior has prevailed! Maybe then you can make an expansion that has all sorts of Heavy Weight Robots from Dougram, Macross, Gundam, Metal Gear, etc.
Needs more Mad Cat.
Mechwarrior is not dead!! Praying to get some other good news!
Yesssssssss………………………….
Me and MechaVerse will spread the word when more MechWarrior news comes in 🙂
i know everyone is so particular about how they like their interpretation, so each edition is very different –
personally, if a mech isn’t fast (and i mean really *F*A*S*T* like a shadowcat in mw3 with the largest engine and jump jets you can fit in it) then the game isn’t entertaining to me. if people want to play big, slow crunchy things, fine, but some of us like fast and light. light mechs aren’t “junior” versions of juggernauts, they are a different paradigm. don’t make us slow just so you can hit us.
and don’t control what i can or cannot fit in my alloted tonnage because you don’t think fast, jumping laserboats are unfair. you want to field goliaths, i field david, and my chance is on how well i can aim.
🙂
Its goign to be PC exclusive which is kinda a kick in the balls for console based MW fans.
