News: Gundam AGE game announced

What with the first episode of Level 5’s Gundam AGE airing last night, it was shortly followed by a not overly surprising announcement; that a PSP game will accompany the series. Set for release next year, it will be an RPG that covers a 100 years of history within the new universe. Considering this is Level 5 we’re talking about, this game obviously won’t be a crappy hack job. In addition, after the likes of the excellent Danball Senki, it’s clear they can get a lot out of the PSP too. The announcement advert is below and it also shows a bit of in-game footage, something that doesn’t look too shabby either.

Watched the first episode… Kinda looks not great so far 🙁
Yeah… a little bit implausible and a little bit too dumbed down/childish, well after Gundam 00 movie it’s a step-up.
Does it have the basis for a good game, though? Lord knows I can’t stand five seconds of watching Naruto, but some of the games looked quite good.
The show is aimed at younger children so its what I expected, dont think I will be sticking with it, as I grew out of pokemon awhile ago 😀 and that is what this show reminds me of, still something good for the kids like that recent Transformers show.
The games? who knows, again Im expecting the same levels as pokemon, megaman and yes Naruto games, I guess they can be fun, I did like the Naruto game on the gamecube, cant remember its name, but its a four player beat em up, was quite fun playing it with friends.
Correction: Real men never grow out of Pokemon.
