Along with a slew of other kits at the 51st All Japan Model & Hobby Show, with the Nineball still being suitably lovely, the awesome Blaster from Super Robot Wars Z 2 Hakai Hen will finally get a kit based rendition. This is also being handled Kotobukiya, so expected highly affordable sculpted awesomeness. In terms of price, no details as yet but it’s scheduled for release sometime next year (probably to coincide with the second PSP game on the way).

Heck yes!!!
I didn’t like Blaster one bit, i hope Gunleon makes a comeback for the next Z game.
suit your self….go play another game…you ‘fake’ mecha mania
Hmm i thought the mecha’s name is Brasta in order to coincide with Libra since SRW Z original units revolve around 12 zodiacs.
Anyway i can’t wait to preorder this kit and hopefully we get to see some sample soon.
I agree with this, since “blaster” is written as “ブラスター” , while the aforementioned mech Brasta is just “ブラスタ”. I believe Brasta is more correct.
It’s romanised as “Blaster” from the katakana:
http://hiki.cre.jp/SRW/?Blaster
I wouldn’t dig too deep into romanization. Bandai is, after all, the company that wrote “Quatro Vagina” on the side of a model box I saw once.
This mech…I don’t like it. The SRX is about the only original I’ve ever liked, except for maybe that crazy tiger thing from SRW Alpha.
I saw this post and got excited. I though it was about the second half coming out. I’m on my thirdt playthrough of the first half and…I’m starting to get bored with it. 🙂
There are other names and whatnot in that wiki that I believe is incorrect. And because it’s a wiki site, I wouldn’t take everything as 100%.
It can be and has been romanised as “Blaster”, so what is “more correct” is somewhat moot.
Sorry for the bump, but it’s indeed “Brasta”, as stated in the BG image of the SRWZ2 Original Custom Theme for the PSP:

It’s still cited as “Blaster” elsewhere, as has already been linked. It’s a romanised word anyway, so it makes sense to translate it accordingly.
