Following on from the summary breakdown, there’s now a singleplayer video for Armored Core V over at From Software’s YouTube channel, as well as another live recording from Frequency (suitably Armored Core V themed to boot). There’s only one more video breakdown to go before the end of December.

What with the a PC freemium game on the way, it seems that MechWarrior license needs to be violated further. This time in the form of an iOS game called MechWarrior Tactical Command that sounds to partially hark back to the halcyon days of MechCommander. Whilst the trailer below is probably not in-game footage, it looks more “classic” in terms of the designs at least. We’re not sure about the cock rock soundtrack on the trailer though, sounds awfully compensatory. In any case, no word on a specific release date as yet but it will be sometime next year.

Following on from the team breakdown, there’s now a game summary (or “sammary”) video for Armored Core V over at From Software’s YouTube channel. This covers the campaign setup in some detail but, again, nothing that we don’t already know. There are two more breakdown moves planned by the end of December.

What with the release of Steel Chronicle around the corner, 4Gamer have covered the latest 10 minute plus promo of the game in action. Apart from the annoying voice over it’s interesting to finally see how the game works. It’s pretty clear that Konami’s primary influence here is that of Border Break but with other elements from Monster Hunter and even Phantasy Star Online. Though all these elements do come across as pretty cynical, as SEGA took a big risk with Border Break (which thankfully paid off) but Steel Chronicle really comes across as a pretty shallow hack job. It doesn’t even look that great either, oh well.

Following from its suitably kickass introduction in the latest episode of Gundam Unicorn, the souped up RX-160S Byarlant Custom will be getting a limited edition Robot Damashii figure. Priced at 6,090 yen, the toy is at the higher end of the toyline’s price range but it’s a pretty tricky design. The original RX-160 Byarlant from Zeta Gundam, as piloted by the decidedly bouffant Jerid Messa, was definitely one of the more “out there” Kazumi Fujita designs in the series (here’s a nice little video of the classic design). It’s been featured in numerous games over the years too, with the recent Gundam Musou games being notable. Either way we’re happy that a non-standard mobile suit design will be given a modern day toy. It will be released in April of next year.

There’s now a new promo video for Gundam Mokubo no Kiseki out. Apart from showing some rather dated FMV footage, the video does actually show a fair bit of gameplay. It’s very clear that the game’s two modes of battle will work out to be pretty interesting but what’s especially refreshing is how fluid the full battle mode appears. Basically, this looks like it could be a proper little hand-held RTS. The full video is below.

Now with Gundam Extreme Versus a little over two weeks from release, the PR machine has gone into NT-D mode. Below is a lovely shiny new TV advert for the game. Whilst it shows snippets of fresh footage, it doesn’t really reveal anything earth shattering (but it is in HD). Plus, it also gives us an excuse to show the Hi-Nu Gundam yet again, though this time violating a Geara Doga. If you haven’t pre-ordered the game already, then you really need to do so here.

Following on from a suitably thorough mission update, the official Gundam Extreme Versus site now holds host to some new trailers. From the full TGS promo video to a new snappy sneak peak at the new aforementioned missions in action. It’s all looking brilliant and we’re just itching to finally play this at home (with one of these in case you’re wondering). Considering that Bandai Namco are raking in around half a billion dollars a year on the Gundam franchise and expect this PS3 port to sell over half a million units (in Japan), this is going to be a pretty big deal come its release at the beginning of December. If you haven’t done so already then pre-order the game here.

Over at 4Gamer there’s a new update on SD Gundam Generation 3D. Covering the “chance pursuit” and “support sheet” systems, the first sounds like a quick time event after an attacks which allows a follow up attack from another unit. Whereas the latter sets up who gives this kind of support. In addition to all this the main site has been updating its video page pretty consistently as well, so those are worth a gander below.
