We’ve been keeping an eye on Dual Gear since its Indiegogo campaign was announced a while back. Using Unreal Engine 4 it looks to be an interesting blend of turn based strategy coupled with a more action based approach. While it’s sad to see the crowdfunding campaign not supported as fully as it could be, the game now has a demo on Steam. Visually it looks good too and we really appreciate the mecha design as well. Developed by a small team in Thailand, we hope this game gets the support and recognition it so clearly deserves.
Wow, how come I’ve never heard of that!? I just tried the demo, the graphics are great, the gameplay is a little… sluggish, I guess. I mean every action is slow, the transition between units or when you prepare a weapon take a while when they should be instantaneous. Also the interface is very bad, it’s difficult to get information that should be displayed very clearly.
The game has a lot of potential, the mech designs are really lovely and the customization looks quite nice, but it has some pretty serious flaws to overcome to be a good game.
Given the state of the funding, I don’t know if the final game will ever be released, and if it is I fear it will be incomplete…
Thank you. I sent the message to owner, Ollie Barder about this game called Dual Gear. I want Dual Gear game by supporting on Indiegogo. I don’t have account for Indiegogo. Someone needs to support this game by using Indiegogo.
