You can now pre-order the simply gorgeous Isamu Dyson YF-29 DX Chogokin via the Bandai premium online webshop. Priced at 17,850 yen it will be released in December of this year. This was a unique version of the YF-29 Durandal as seen in the recently released Macross 30. It even seems like this version of the YF-29 will come with a bayonet on the end of the gunpod, much like the VF-11B Thunderbolt that Isamu also piloted at the beginning of Macross Plus. Regardless, this is a toy that we will be getting and may even get around to reviewing too.
Isamu Dyson piloted the YF-19, not 29. This is an upgraded/new version of the production VF-19, and is from Macross Frontier and Macross 30; the YF-19 (and later production model VF-19 Excalibur) were in Macross Plus and Macross 7.
You’re very wrong on this. This is very much a custom YF-29, based on a unique design from Macross 30. The variable fighter you saw in the Macross Frontier movie was in fact a VF-19EF Caliburn, also piloted by Isamu.
wish they would remove the turbines/tubes on the wings to resemble more of the YF19
isamu yf29 only appeared in the 30th Anni game… this is custom… the one in the movie is a 19…
