According to Variety, some THQ published Voltron games are on the way. These are to coincide with a new animated TV show set for a US release later this year. Voltron is actually the Westernised version of Go Lion, a 70’s super robot show where the mecha combines from five robotic lions (hence the name really). As you’d expect, Go Lion recently made it into Super Robot Wars W on the DS so this isn’t the first time it’s been in games.

It’s already in iphone and will release to DS,3DS,wii,xbox360,ps3,NGP
SRW W predates all of that though?
I really loved Voltez V as a kid growing up in the Philippines. Probably where my love for robots began. They need to do this with more robot shows.
I have yet to watch the whole of Go-Lion, but does the four-heads attack happen in the show?
Also, needs more Dairugger XV.
Seeing Voltron on this page everyday just makes me kick myself even more for not picking up this Voltron miniatures wargame when I saw it on sale for $20:

Too bad there’s not an extra set of Voltron pieces, because then we could make it a GoLion vs Voltron strategy game. TWO LIONBOTS ENTER, ONE LIONBOT LEAVES.
A Dairugger version would be insane. Imagining trying to keep track of 15 units on both sides of the board, plus all the backup units. If he makes a SRW appearance, maybe his strategy would be to fill up an entire map so no enemy reinforcements can arrive? To say nothing about his spirit pool.
